The Mt. Blue Theater Company of Mt. Blue High School produces three shows a year: a fall show during the first weekend in November, a student written one act play for the Maine Drama Festival which is also performed here in conjunction with a middle school play and sometimes a faculty show, and finally a large spring production--every other year, a musical. Auditions are held in September and December and are open to anyone willing to take a chance. Mrs. Muise also teaches a Play Production Class which produces a short children's play to perform for the elementary students in the district.
Mt Blue has an awesome theater space, The Bjorn Auditorium. The Theater Company is open to any student interested in acting or technical theater. There are opportunities to learn how to run the lights and sound systems and even work on other events held in the Bjorn sometimes for a small paycheck. Audition announcements are posted around school and Mrs. Muise in Room 213 B is the director so any questions you have can be addressed to her. (Thanks to the incomparable Steve Muise for most of the photos on this website!)
